Chair–Blue and White

The blue chair adjacent to the blue painted markings on the sidewalk caught my eye. As chairs are one of my favorite things to photograph, I stopped and took this photo. Corrugated Cardboard Chair

I've always had a passion for corrugated cardboard. Peculiar, I know, but everyone has their quirks, right? Anyway, I have designed several pieces of furniture using it as a structural material. Back in the early 1970s, I created this chair made from a single sheet 

of corrugated cardboard which is scored, slit, and folded.

It is surprisingly sturdy for a cardboard chair.

Waiting for the Train

If you and a friend (or lover) are waiting for a train at the station in Montpelier, Vermont, you could sit here.

White Chair

Of the many things I like to photograph, chairs are among my favorites. They seem to have a antitisapative presence, waiting to be filled: sat on. I photograph them where and as I found them. This limited palette image is really full color, not just black and white. It was the relationship of the chair to the floor that I found particularly interesting.
